The third (3) round of Asian Enduro Series (AES) saw Gabriel Amigo III, Raul Tabil and Rob Brown crowned the winners in International Malindang Enduro 2019, Philippines.
In the small city of the Philippines, Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental was once more transformed into one of the biggest biking destination of the year thanks to the Asian Enduro Series. Hundreds of noisy fans lined the tracks to see their idols race on the Ozamiz iconic trails.
After the dust has finally settled and the raucous has died down, it is safe to say that it was truly a success. Definitely one for the books! The 2019 International Malindang Enduro – Asian Enduro Series Round 3 concluded last Sunday July 21, 2019. Two(2) days with Eight(8) Stages of intense Enduro racing, riders who were able to seal their spot in the event can be spotted coming up to the podium and smiling for the camera with their trophies over their heads, medals around their necks and a sense of pride plastered on their faces – a huge reward for all the sweat they shed in showcasing their skills and talent in bike ride; dipping into different types of challenges and tracks varying from rock gardens to technical ruts to very loose single tracks.
The 3rd Asian Enduro Series Round 3 which was held last July 20-21, 2019 at the starting line elevation of 2,770 ft ASL in Sitio Tipan Brgy. Stimson Abordo to Brgy. Trigos, Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental Philippines was participated by different countries such as USA, Colombia, Italy, Australia, Singapore, Taiwan, Korea and the Philippines. GABRIEL AMIGO III from Bislig, Surigao del Sur of Trek Philippines managed to reign supreme in the Elite Category as he surpassed the 8 special stages with total time of 00:34:16 in the two days, beating RAUL TABIL the rat boy from Cagayan de Oro City of Team Bikelab got the 2nd spot with total time of 00:34:19 and from USA Californian rider ROB BROWN of Acura Tech Racing who finished 3rd place with the total time of 00.36:45, while the pride and champ downhiller of Dumaguete City ELEAZAR BARBA JR. got the leading time on day 1 but unfortunately he has a mechanical problem on day 2 stage 7 and did not finish the race. In spite of big crash on the rockies section in day 1 and got minor injury on his arm Taiwanese represent CHIA-LUN CHANG still manage to be on the 7th spot with total time of 00.40.40.

While on the other hand other categories standing Open Men (18-39) – SAM JOSHUA BATISLAON (00:37:43) of Norcot/Kidapawanpedal/Dilaab got the 1st place, MICHAEL COSEP (00:38:46) of 7016 Endu of Pagadian City got the 2nd place, DENNIS ACDOL JR. (00:39:04) of Bagtas/Groundzero /PB got the 3rd place. Under 18 – MC KEVIN RUIZ (00:37:20) of Bagtas Groundzero, ALDEN COMEROS (00:39:10) of TEAM BAYAW/FILLMAN MTB got 2nd Place, JUAN ESTEBAN LEON PUERTA (00:41:11) got 3rd place from Columbia. Men Master B (40-49) – JONATHAN VERGA (00:41:10) got the 1st place of V12radgear Cebu City, YOUN ILSANG (00:41:34) got the 2nd place from Taiwan, JESSE ANULAO (00:42:23) got the 3rd place of Norcot. Master C (50 up) – LITO PATAYAN of Cycline Butuan got the 1st place with total time of 00:48:38, NOEL REMO (00:50:33) got the 2nd place of UCCI/MOAB, RUBEN CAGAIS (1:14:40) got the 3rd place from UCCI Iligan City. And in the Women Category – MA JOSELA DEFENSOR got the top spot with total time of 00:52:56 from Team Birdland Tacurong, followed by DIVINE DOROMAL on the 2nd spot with total time of 00:50:33 from Molave Bikers, and on the 3rd spot ANDREA CECYL PRIMERO from team UCCI Iligan with total time of 1:30:03.

Thank you for displaying toughness and endurance all through each stage in the competition and for integrating awesome camaraderie into your very core as Enduro Riders. Many thanks for coming out to experience and discover the bike paradise that is Mt. Malindang. We hope that you had the greatest time riding our trails and that you headed home with your body all pumped up with adrenaline and your hearts pulsed with awesome memories from this leg of the Asian Enduro Series.
